How one campaign grew the last crop of Filipino farmers

 

57 is the average age of Filipino farmers. And kids would rather land jobs in the city rather than have a career in farming. That meant, in 15 years, the Filipino farmer will be no more.

 

In collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, we carved the last Filipino farmers in the very crops they produced—featuring the perishable sculptures as print ads.

 

The campaign gave much needed awareness to the issue and brought viewers to the Department of Agriculture website. There, they learned about the youth in agriculture programs that provided financial grants

to young Filipinos who want to consider farming as a career.
