Hi, I'm Nick. 

I approach writing with a focus on building around a fresh insight, as the campaign pretty much writes itself after that. Beyond the written word, I also often take a visual approach to ideas as I've found that a creative breakthrough can manifest in unexpected ways. This also drives my effort to incorporate curiosities from the outside world into my work to keep it fresh. 

I'm quite deliberate about being an positive force within my team. More than a job requirement, it's a personal calling.

2023 - Present

After almost a decade of industry experience, I sought a new challenge and took on a senior creative role in a digital-first creative and production agency. In my first year, we won pitches for SUTD, Tiger Brokers, Hyatt, Sephora, and Evian as well as a couple of local awards in Singapore.

I was poised to elevate my career to the next level. The move to Publicis Singapore was a strategic step to immerse myself in a global market with brands like Head & Shoulders, Pantene, and Johnnie Walker.

My three-year stint back in the Philippines was nothing short of transformative. I decided to take matters into my own hands by continuing in advertising while pursuing another dream of opening a pizzeria and café. To this day, creating a business from scratch while simultaneously working with some of the finest talents at BBDO, TBWA Shanghai, O&W, and 7AD is one of my greatest achievements

I took a leap of faith and took the role of leading the copy arm in a dynamic and fast-paced market. After multiple pitch wins for Red Bull, Traveloka, F-1, Highlands and Sunlife, we successfully grew the agency to become the 2nd most creative agency in Vietnam and won multiple local awards and a metal for Spikes and AdStars.

Writing for TBWA\SMP and DAN (Digital Arts Lab) quickly taught me the importance of an integrated approach to advertising. Exposure to a diverse array of brands helped me understand the value of wearing multiple hats.
